THE SHORT STORY

It's common for health organizations to view the their world as having a clear boundary (regulatory / standard of care etc.), which leads to a binary view that app's / services are medical grade or not. They are compliant or not. The unspoken bias is that app's and services that are not medical grade are not to be taken too seriously.  What we've learned is that edge innovators absolutely do not view the world this way.  In fact, the dominant edge-view is that it's perfectly logical to develop app's and services outside of the 'health boundary' because they can iterate, acquire data and hone algorithms, much more quickly. From an edge perspective, it's smarter / easier to wait and cross the 'health boundary' later (with a far more evolved offering).

SO WHAT?
so.... we've come to believe that it's critical for anyone concerned with innovations in health to expand their view to include innovations in the Wellness & Betterment spaces.  Failure to do this radically increases the risk of being blind-sided by disrupted innovation.
